CSWPC Swimming Review – 2009/10

 As you will have seen in our recent Annual Report, last season our swimmers posted some of the Clubs best ever results. Our swimmers finished the season with a Masters World Champion, a National Youth Championships silver medallist and a Welsh National Age Group record holder.

In order to build on our recent successes and to ensure we are complying with the national guidelines established by our National Governing Body, British Swimming, it is vital as a Club we constantly review all that we offer our swimmers.

Following a recent review we initially plan to implement various changes which are likely to affect all swimmers to varying degrees. Please refer to the updated training groups/training times listed on the attached sheets. Your swimmer(s) name(s) will be highlighted to indicate where they will be swimming from 3rd January 2010.

Please can you ensure you Standing Order to CSWPC is amended accordingly if the number of training sessions offered has changed (current monthly rates are £17.00pm for 1 weekly swim / £30.00 for 2 weekly swims / £40.00 for 3 weekly swims and £50.00 for 4 weekly swims).

In the New Year we will be issuing an updated “CSWPC Swim Squad Structure” that will detail how swimmer(s) are expected to progress through our Club. We will also be issuing details of training and competition targets for each squad to ensure all swimmers train and compete in a variety of events and distances throughout the year.

Finally, can I remind all parents that our Club is managed by volunteers and we always need more help to keep up with the many jobs we need to do. If you can offer anytime at all, no matter how small, please e-mail me and advise what you can offer.
